Hello, my name is Sassi Mujahid, and this is how I embraced motherhood with grace and tranquility. I have been working at ibex. for 6 years now and my journey has been both enjoyable and tremendous. I was referred here by one of my very close friends and since then my life has never been the same.

When I first joined ibex., I was like a little child, eager to embark on a new chapter and absorb everything that came my way. Thankfully, ibex. has always helped me polish my skills and motivated me to strive for more. But let's be honest, the real fun comes with the monthly RnR (Rewards and Recognition) activities that keep us on the edge of our seats. Both my personal and professional life was going pretty strong and progressive. When I thought life could not get any better, I became a mom in November of 2022, and my life changed completely after that. Honestly speaking, stepping into this new chapter is already a quite daunting experience for me, as it often is for women, especially when you're also juggling a career. The thought of balancing everything can be overwhelming.

However, I consider myself fortunate to work at a place like ibex. where people truly understand and support me, taking care of my needs as a working mom. When you have such a supportive work environment, you no longer have to worry about the challenges because you know you're not alone in this journey.

One of the best aspects of working at ibex. are the medical benefits they provide, not just for me but also for my spouse and kids. As an ibexian, I can say with pride that the people here are always ready to support you. I still remember when my husband was facing issues with the billing department of Liaquat National Hospital. The situation was causing a lot of stress, and I was not in the right state of mind to handle it. At that moment, my husband reached out to our assigned manager, Sunil Sultan, from the hospital.

Sunil immediately took charge and resolved everything for us. He made the entire process so smooth that my husband could focus on being present with us without worrying about these matters staying in constant contact with my husband until I returned home with our baby. Such acts of kindness and support leave a lasting impact and are cherished forever. It's true what they say, "a friend in need is a friend indeed," and this perfectly sums up my relationship with ibex. and its people.

Baby Blues

The baby blues after childbirth, I would say, are very real, no matter how strong you are. In the initial months, everything was too difficult for me to handle. I felt overwhelmed and unsure about how to proceed with anything. It was all so new and surprising for me, but fortunately, I found myself in the right workplace.

I was fortunate to receive my complete maternity time to look after my baby, and I dedicated all my time and care to my little one without worrying about work or any work-related concerns. In times of inflation and financial strain, the three months of paid leave and the coverage of hospital bills provided by ibex. were tremendous support. Even though I have always enjoyed my work and strived to meet all my deadlines and targets, things became more challenging after I had my baby. When I joined back after my maternity leave, everything felt entirely different for me with a baby to care for. I was exhausted from lack of sleep and adjusting to this new role that I was still trying to manage. Balancing work and motherhood was not easy, but having a supportive team and understanding manager made all the difference. They helped make my work smoother, taking into account my new responsibilities.I consider it one of the biggest blessings that my managers understood my situation and dealt with me accordingly.

ibex. has played a crucial role during this new journey in my life. I have witnessed some of my friends returning to work immediately after their delivery, getting no rest or time to understand their infant's needs, and it makes me grateful for the support I have received.

A message for new moms

One thing I would like to suggest to every woman reading this: Please know that we are not weak! We possess incredible capabilities and can achieve anything we set our minds to. Everything can be within our control if we desire it. As women, we have been gifted with superpowers by God, and it's essential to recognize and harness our strengths. Prioritizing financial independence is crucial for our sanity and our children's future, so never underestimate yourself. Don't give up on your dreams; instead, fight back and pursue them relentlessly.
